For a moment of bravery I ask Jesus to give me His heart. I imagine watching Him break away my stone heart and place within me a new heart. It feels strange, especially when I begin to go about my day with Someone else's heart.
I have to try to explain the way in which we connect to the heart of Jesus, and the best passage I can think of today reminds us of what Christians claim even if only half-hearted: "It is now no longer I that live but Christ lives within me." (Gal. 2:20)
I am not wise enough to brag about wisdom or knowledge, nor am I especially strong enough to brag about my great might in any way. I certainly have no riches to flaunt before anyone.
Sometimes we need to stand before our greatest treasures and say to them, "Of all the things I have and value, you mean the absolute most to me" and then see what happens inside us when we actually say that sentence.
The call of Jesus to "repent and believe" begins to be more tangible and understood when I see the difference in a true and total change of heart and mind.
